This exhibition includes Xiang Yang's work since 2010 when he returned to Beijing from New York. The main hall will present the artist's architectural-sized installations and mixed media works. Xiang Yang heightens the exploratory participation required of the viewer by constructing an inviting environment which draws viewers into the interior of his work. Through his architectural installations, Xiang brings his preference for precision into the study of structural and spatial relationships. In his art practice, this highly refined style pervades Xiang's work, from conceptual development to his way of being. His life experience, straddling two cultures, has opened him to the world of multiplicities. Such a realm formed by multiple realities and converging cultures enables him to take a relative stance from which to exam this changing realm. Ever shifting with each step, each different perspective, this stance shapes the viewers' visual experiences of looking at the objects and their deeper truth.
